It's funny that a couple of posts ago Ale mentioned that the only way for upper management assimilate and distribute information is through powerpoint presentation. This can't be far from the truth.
I was actually literally request by upper management to put my concerns and advices on a powerpoint presentation. :) Once done, that would be distributed to all other managing directors across the board.
There are so many things I need to go over and so many complex and specific instruction that it will take a lot of time to explain every single aspect of the process. This will probably take the whole weekend.
I will probably have to fly to Miami Beach office for recruitment. I need to interview these people, and doing over the phone I believe me its not going to be enough for me to make an accurate assessment of the candidates. But then again they might be cheap and not send me :p
I got a word that they will fly the new recruit over from Miami to SF for training, but I will try to reverse that. HAHA. I rather fly to Miami and train the new recruit, as an consolation for how I was not flown to Norway for my training. :)
Things looks much better, because now I will be able to split my workload, but then again I think there will more responsibilities too, since the new recruit will be working under me. Also I feel much better after talking with the CEO and having my concerns heard. Some changes are coming and I'm very happy with them. I mean it just feels great that I wasn't able to communicate very well if the upper management, yet I can talk directly to the CEO. :)
But I'm ok with it. When I first joined, I knew that being the first on for the US operations, I would have to take more responsibilities as more people would join in.
Because of the frustrations I have dealing with upper management in regards to communications, I will keep a very open and honest channel of communications open with this and future new recruits.
Yes I was sick again, and did not go to work, and of course that doesn't mean that I didn't work from home. But I feel that because I haven't done anything healthy, due to workload, since I got here, I more prone to being sick.
Of course rumor in the office is that I have secretly flown to DC to celebrate Dana's birthday. hahaha
Dana, happy birthday babe. I love you!
