Life here is so good and easygoing, it´s ingrained in their culture. For a long time I haven´t experienced this, thus forgot how it was to live like a true "carioca". People meet up for couple of drinks(nothing fancy), tell about interesting things, makes jokes, and so forth. When its time to go out partying, they go regardless of how late it is, they party hard, and after it they crash hard as well. Next day they wake up somewhat early (hahah) and spend the whole day at the beach. Only to resume this cycle of good life. They don´t stress as hard as people in US where work is their main purpose in life. In Rio, things moves at a slower pace, the pace of people, not the pace of business and work.
I forgot how tasty it was to drink the Brazilian "chopp". As you all know, I hate beer, because quite frankly they taste like urine, not that I tasted but you know what I mean. Chopp taste good and I could go on and on, while having a nice conversation with friends. And so forth it goes, taking hours of our days. Have you noticed you try to juggle between you work schedule and your friends back in the US?
So yesterday I stayed over at Zeca, then we went out to meet with a couple of friends, on a open space/cafe style pizzeria. Lots of people just enjoying the nice weather (not too cold nor too hot, just perfect.). After that we hit the chaotic place called Lapa, to meet other friends. There was a strong Frenchie representation in that crowd, which reminded me of mon ami Zizooou. Les Baguettes are EVERYWHERE.
Tonight it will be Marcio girlfriend´s birthday party. As you probably noticed there is always some party going on here at all times. Funny thing about this party is that my friends Marcello will be spining the decks. From what I hear he "DJ´s" very well. It will be nice to see that.
Anyways, I think it will be a blast tonight.
I hope you all doing well in the swealtering heat in the US. Drink a lot of fluids and don´t die till I can come back to US and party. After that you guys can die... hahha.
Behave kids.
PS: I´m not too sure about taking photos here, because my camera is so big that is really attracts attentions of those criminally inclined. So I hardly carry around the camera... We will see.
