So I arrived yesterday after a dissapointing campaign in Rio. Not that it was all bad, just around the end it was dissapointing.
My flight from Rio to Sao Paulo I got upgraded to first class. There was this guy which was taking only the domestic leg of flight to Sao Paulo, so he was not entitled to buy stuff at duty free shop. He asked if I could purchase some stuff for him and he would pay for his stuff. Being that I was already buying some stuff for me, I didn't see any reason as not to help the guy. Later on, he had my ticket upgraded to first class as a thank you. It's good karma I guess. He has consulting company in Sao Paulo which deals with IT. He asked if I'm interested to send my CV to him. So he gave me his business card.
You know what I hate about flights, mother with babies, fucking mother with babies. They are constantly crying, and I don't blame the baby. Aircraft environment is really hostile. You are dealing with pressure/depressurization, and awful air (dirty and dry). No wonder babies are constantly crying. Planes are no places for babies, for their healthsakes. And if you can't afford to have a family member taking care of your baby then, you shouldn't be flying, unless it's an emergency. You are a mother, if you are planning to have a baby, you should know all restrictions it entails to have a baby. You are a mother, act like one.
They think, well it's a baby, they will understand that babies cries and the baby is not to be blamed. Sure your baby prevents everyone from sleeping, and we understand, we don't blame the baby, we blame the mother that thinks that the whole world revolves arounds her because she has a baby.
Our stupid captain, missed the landing. Yes he missed the landing. The pattern has been cleared for our landing, he put the flaps, and the landing gear out. Well, the guy overshot the landing strip, and he had pull up hard. Problem is that this doesn't inspire confidence on the passanger, because all passengers saw this guy trying to land and pull up on the last second. And because he lost his turn we had to wait a while until the pattern was clear again.
Karthik was the first to call, but I was still over the skies of DC so he left a message. Then Misha called me later on.
Since I was back from Rio, I thought on getting a haircut to have the fresh look, though, the lady butchered my hair, think Sinead' Oconner.
I'm embarassed even to go out. But oh well.
Anyways I have to get ready to go to work.
Behave kids.
