Subliminal introspection in Rio

Well much has gone since I got here. I hardly spent any time with my parents. It just spend 3 days with them, and the rest was meeting up with friends here in Rio. I't just great to see friends that I haven't seen over many years, and just like I left Rio back then, things seems like pick up where I left. The great distance or the amount of time spent abroad seems to has little or no impact whatsoever. I mean, like someone that I haven't seen for over 9 years is just as good friend as when I left Rio and lost contact.

Even though I was out for so long, as soon as people found out I am back, I'm already getting calls and invitations to parties.

I've been hanging out a lot with Zeca, first because he is a great friend and also because it just easier for me to do things, since I don't remember much of the street layout. So we have been meeting up friends in bars and parties.

I wanted to do some tourist stuff and take pictures, but like I said the weather has just been awful, and also since I've been doing so many things at night, I hardly wake up early. Also Rio is a bit more dangerous than the last time I was, not much though, however my parents really freaked me out with their stories. You know, my parents are overly protective so they exaggerate a lot, still they managed to freak me out a little bit. So I'm afraid to carry my camera.

The last party was really nice. I got to meet so many friends together in one event/night. When me and Zeca got over there we kind of got early, 11:30PM, there were some people, but by 1AM it was packing. See, if I had taken my camera I could have taken a lot of photos, but I forgot :/ . Lots of alcohol, talking to friends, and beautiful girls being naughty by the bathroom. Oh yeah, did I tell you that the girls are pretty? Well I'm pretty sure that goes without saying.

Two friends of mine are playing in some pop rock bands, and they invited me to attend one of their shows, thought I managed to miss one. I went to dinner with Laura yesterday, some very special to me, and we end up staying ther for too long so I end up missing the show.

However there is another friend's show on Wednesday so we will be hitting the club then.

Today I'm going to have lunch with my parents, and after it probably do something with Laura as I will be staying over at her place for a couple of days. Also is just more convenient, since Christiana wants to meet up, and she is always with Laura.

Anyways, hopefully I will take some pictures, go to the beach, and do touristy stuff before heading back to the US. And don't worry, I will try hard to get everything something. Even though I would be officially a " smuggler".
