Home of the future.

So I went to the company party, although I was tired and woke up late. It was supposed to be at 7:30, but I only got there 8:30. I called my coworker Abhilash, to ask him how was the party before I actually commit to it. He was not there yet either, so I told him to come pick me up. As soon as arriving there, they were about to start raffling the prizes. I got a number, and immediately got the winning number, so I had to first dibs on the prizes, and of course, I grabbed the most expensive, coolest item from the bunch, which was a D-Link DSM 320 Wireless Media Player. Then I got a pair of speakers, Altec Lansing headphones for Ipod, two shot glasses, auto retractable ethernet cable with Nvidia logo, two sports bottle (nice one actually, not the cheap ones), and one metal photo frame by Canon.

Don't care much about the other prizes, though, the water bottle came in handy, its one of those Nalgene bottle Google also use for their water bottles. My brother lost my Polo Sport bottle, so I was without a bottle for when I hit gym. So this will come in handy.

Now for the wireless media player, well it's pretty nice. I have a wireless network here at home because of the number of laptops running around here. Specially because my brother love to take his laptop anywhere in the apartment, like kitchen, bathroom, etc... And two desktop wired directly on the router. I have a lot of stuff on my super desktop, from music, to video and a lot of pictures. My Sony picture printer attached to the TV can display picture directly on to the TV, however its limited to the how much the memory stick will hold. So having a media player that will wirelessly retrieve picture from my media hard drive in my computer is just kickass.
Also the music, I got so much GBs worth of music, and now being able to play on the living room is nice too. Another thing that it made this product kickass is the ability to play video. So I have like whole 2 seasons worth of South Park on my media harddrive. Well, this thing will stream the video and play it on the TV! The old way, was to take my computer to the living room, attach my computer to the TV and see it that way, but that is just too much work. Now this is done all wirelessly.

Update: God this thing connected to Radio 1 online and its playing live set from IDT! So not only it will play stuff from my computer but online radio! Sweet!
